This is a static, read-only website. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies, so most of the machinery a privacy policy usually describes simply is not here. What little processing does occur is set out below, accurately.
Who is responsible
This website is published by Spinborough House, the independent comparison publication operating at spinboroughhouse.com. For anything concerning personal data on this site, contact editor@spinboroughhouse.com — that address reaches the person responsible for data matters directly.
What we collect when you browse: effectively nothing
The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, embeds no social media widgets and loads every file — pages, styles, fonts, images — from its own domain. Your visit triggers no requests to advertising or measurement companies. We do not know who you are, and we have built the site so that we cannot find out.
Like any website, the pages are delivered by hosting infrastructure, and web servers routinely keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, requested page and time) for security and operational purposes. We do not use such logs to identify visitors, do not enrich them with other data, and do not receive personal profiles from anyone about your visit.
What we collect when you email us
If you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to send — at minimum your email address and message. We use it solely to deal with your enquiry, we do not add you to any marketing list (we do not have one), and we do not share it with anyone except where the law compels us. Correspondence is kept only as long as the matter it concerns reasonably requires, then deleted. If you want an exchange deleted sooner, ask in the same thread and it will be done.
What happens when you leave
The comparison table and reviews link to casino operators, and the safety pages link to support organisations and the regulator. The moment you follow any outbound link, this policy stops applying and the destination's own privacy policy takes over. Casino operators in particular will collect substantial personal data from you — identity documents, payment details, activity records — because their licences oblige them to. Read their policies; they describe a very different relationship from the one you have with this site.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you — access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection among them. Given how little this site processes, exercising them is usually as simple as emailing editor@spinboroughhouse.com: in practice the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is correspondence you sent us. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website concerns gambling and is intended solely for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, and that goes doubly for minors: if you believe a child has corresponded with us, tell us and the correspondence will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If the site ever changes in a way that affects privacy — adding analytics, for instance — this policy will be updated first and the "last updated" date above will change. A policy that described trackers before they existed would be as misleading as one that hid them, so this document tracks reality, in both directions.
